I don’t know if you know this, but I actually started this painting back in August. I sketched it on the canvas, and then wham! The studio got very busy. I put it in the corner of the studio and looked at it everyday. I imagined what colors I would use when I would finally have the time again.

Well, I did make my way back to it. And when I did, I ended up using colors that feel like home. Soft pinks and purples with deep warmth. With the movement of the petals, this painting felt like a dance. And I’m so grateful to have given it the care it needed to bloom.
